Why are we encouraging everyone to vote NO?

Over the last 10 years we've had the BID, nothing organised or invested into the BID has been of any benefit. Ask around and hear what businesses have to say.

These are the reasons why A.B.B.A exist

- The mismanagement by the past and present BID Managers and Directors.

- Financial Mismanagement from the start.

- Quality of Events.

- No clear, concise information to businesses.

- No marketing strategy for the town. - No Bilston in Bloom since 2019 but still showing on their financials.

- Conflicts of interest.

- No transparency.

- Favouring businesses who vote YES, ostracising businesses who vote NO.

- No clear answer on the CCTV issues i.e. if they are switched on, the 24/7 monitoring.

- Security monitoring during the night.

- Adding the industrial estates to gain more YES votes in the last ballot.

- Threats of car parking charges if the BID doesn’t stay.

- Investment will be taken from Bilston if it is a NO vote at the next ballot.

- The Mid-Term Review report from July 2025 is damning evidence of how no one in the BID is remotely qualified or competent to run it.

- Numerous bouts of graffiti within the town centre.

- Antisocial behaviour from gangs/groups in town.

- Scare mongering by advising rates would go up for market stall holders.

- Unable to become members of the BID to gain rights to vote at AGM's. Picking and choosing people who vote Yes and dismissing those who say NO.

More could be added but it would be exhausting to read through them all.

You have the power to Vote all of this out including the people who make this BID impossible to work for Bilston.
